Dileka & Environment

Today, waste water from households and industries accounts for the increasing pollution present in our water system. It also strains a municipality's capacity both to treat the waste water before releasing into the streams and rivers, and to treat the incoming water in order to make the water fit for drinking. Dileka contributes to the preservation of the environment with cleaner waste water in two ways. One is by minimizing the water user's need for various chemical detergents and disinfectants such as chlorine. The other is by producing abundant negative ions in the water that help slow down the processof general oxidation of the water. For this reason, Dileka has been endorsed by Protection of Green Earth Foundation in Japan.

Protection of Green Earth Foundation was founded in 1982 by the first minister of the Japanese Health Ministry. The foundation has been planting trees in the deforested areas in Third World countries for more than 20 years.
